About Fidel Falls
Fidel Falls is an arcade-style game where Ethiopian Ge'ez (Fidel) characters rain down the screen and you must type the matching Latin phonetic key before they reach the bottom. The game covers 18 base consonant rows of the Ethiopic syllabary — from ሀ (h) to ፐ (p) — helping you memorize the character-to-sound mapping through rapid-fire practice. A transliteration reference panel shows the full key mapping. Three power-ups appear during play: a shield (blocks one hit), a slow-down (reduces fall speed temporarily), and an extra life. Characters fall faster as your score climbs, creating escalating difficulty. This game is ideal for beginners learning to read the Amharic or Tigrinya alphabets and want to drill character recognition under time pressure.
